Downtown Albuquerque – APD tells us that a murder happened early this morning in the area of 7th St and Copper Ave NW just after midnight. An adult male was found shot so he was taken to UNMH for care but he died of his injuries.
There was no suspect information provided and it is unclear what happened but APD’s homicide unit is looking into the matter.
This was the second ABQ homicide of the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
This is the 54th homicide for the Albuquerque Metro Area so far in 2023.
