Albuquerque –
On October 6th, 2026, the Albuquerque Police Department was alerted about a stolen vehicle near Central Ave and San Mateo Blvd NE. An officer attempted a traffic stop and initially the vehicle came to a stop but as is often the case they decided to flee.
According to a criminal complaint, the officer was able to put a GPS tracking device on the car as it fled. The following officer noted that a female was driving the car and there was a male passenger inside with her. The vehicle zoomed around the Highland business area and finally stopped mid block on Monroe between Central Ave. and Copper Ave.
A woman identified as 50-year-old Donna Casiquito was seen running in the parking lot of Dion’s and was quickly taken into custody by APD. The male passenger identified as 44-year-old Raymundo Pacheco took off his bright red shirt and tried to blend into the Central Ave. corridor but his ruse was quickly foiled.
It appeared that a cowboy hat wearin’ Dion’s security officer pointed him out to police after the elusive passenger entered the sacred zone of Dion’s.
The female stated she did not know the vehicle was stolen and she used the popular felon line of “she was allowed to borrow it from a nameless friend”. This statement never works on police but she used it anyways in her statement to police.
The pair were booked into MDC on charges of receiving/transferring stolen motor vehicle, resisting police, and conspiracy to commit a felony. Casquito picked up drug and tampering with evidence charges when a glass pipe with drug residue fell out of her property at the prisoner transport center.
