SW Albuquerque –
According to a tweet sent out by the Bernalillo County Sheriff office, detectives are currently on scene of a decaying body found in the mesa north of 114th St and Central Ave. The body was discovered by a group of Falcon hunters that were in the area. It is currently being investigated as a suspicious death.
Bernalillo County Sheriff officials have identified as 85-year-old, Jose Abeyta. Mr. Abeyta was reported as missing by the Albuquerque Police Department. He went missing on January 10th, 2022 and was last seen near the 1000th block of Central Ave.
The death of Jose is not being investigated as a homicide at this time.
The next of kin has been notified.
