Family and Friends Show Up to Murder Scene for Beloved Tattoo Artist

Albuquerque

We first reported on November 14th, 2024, that the Albuquerque Police Department responded to a shooting at the Por Vida Tattoo Shop located on 500 4th Street SW. When officers arrived they found a male inside with a gunshot wound. The man had already died at the scene.

Family and friends have confirmed with ABQ RAW that the victim was popular tattoo artist and owner, Bale Sisneros. Hundreds of people gathered at the intersection of Coal and 3rd Street to mourn the loss of the extremely talented artist. Family members told us that a man came into the shop and asked for Bale specifically. When Bale came out the offender shot him and fled out the door. We were provided a screen shot of security cameras from the tattoo shop of the masked suspect fleeing the scene.

Sisneros helped open up the current shop which is a 15,000 square foot warehouse with a tattoo shop and tattoo supply store. He was a teacher and advocate of the craft. Fans described his style as very professional and artistic.

This is the second time in the last two years that a prominent business owner has been murdered in Albuquerque. In 2022, the beloved owner Rosario Zito of Giovanni’s Pizzeria was gunned down in his parking lot as they closed for the night.
