Fatal Shooting Under Investigation at Duranes Community Center Park

Albuquerque –

Homicide detectives with the Albuquerque Police Department are investigating a deadly shooting at the Duranes Community Center park.

Around 7 PM, APD officers responded to reports of a shooting around at the park, located at 2920 Leopoldo Rd. NW, which is west of Rio Grande Blvd. in the North Valley.

Officers located a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

APD has not said whether anyone has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting.

Detectives and crime scene investigators are expected to remain at the listed location throughout the night as the investigation continues.
