Albuquerque –
On September 24, 2026, around 1:25 PM, Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to a fire at A and V Auto Repair, located at 119 Texas St NE.
The first arriving AFR crew, Ladder 5, reported a small commercial building with an active fire coming from the front of the building. Firefighters used an offensive strategy, with crews entering the structure to locate and directly attack the fire, while also working to protect potential occupants and prevent the fire from spreading.
AFR purportedly brought the fire under control within 20 minutes of arriving on scene. Damage was largely contained to the structure.
One civilian was injured but according to AFR, they did not require transportation to the hospital. No firefighters were injured.
