Heavy Police Presence on Old Coors; Several Detained, Others Barricaded

There is a heavy police presence on Old Coors between Salvador Rd SW and Sunset Gardens Rd.

Officers from the Albuquerque Police Department have detained several people but are working to apprehend others who are reportedly barricaded in the area.

People living, working, and driving in the area have reported seeing at least ten to twenty APD and Police Service Aide units on scene.

Drivers should avoid the area. Old Coors is reportedly closed between Bridge Blvd and Sunset Gardens. Road closures are subject to change.

We have learned that over ten people have been detained. The number of outstanding individuals remains unknown.
