Man Commits Suicide While APD Responds to Domestic Incident

Albuquerque –

The Multi-Agency Task Force is investigating the overnight death of a man who died by suicide.

Officers in the Southwest Area Command were dispatched Sunday at 10:31 p.m. to respond a call about a suicidal individual at 10000 block of Antler Tool Rd., S.W.

The man was making suicidal statements and threatening to barricade himself with children inside the home.

While officers were on scene, the individual made some statements and racked a shotgun. He died by suicide. No other injuries were reported.

Investigators with the MATF are investigating the incident, which is considered an in-custody death because of the potential involvement of police officers at the scene.

  1. At least he didn’t clog up traffic for hours hanging off an interstate overpass. Personal problems are not society’s problems.

      1. No, kiddo, I’m a sane, productive and rational adult. I am under no obligation at all to give a shit about your problems, nor are you required to give a shit about mine.
Impose your problems upon me, though, and watch how quickly and eagerly I’ll help expedite your departure from this existence.
