The Albuquerque Police Department’s Homicide Unit has launched an investigation into a deadly shooting in the Southeast Area Command.
Around 10:00 AM on Friday, November 15, APD Officers responded to reports that a man with a gunshot wound was dropped off at University Hospital. The man later died from his injuries.
Detectives and crime scene specialists are examining a possible homicide location at the Loma Verde Motel, located at 7503 Central Ave. N.E.
While on-scene, we observed APD detectives and crime scene investigators processing a van on the street.
A homicide occurred earlier this year on April 1 at the Loma Verde Motel.
This is the second homicide investigation in 26 hours. This is the 121st homicide of 2024.
