Albuquerque –
Just before 1:30 PM, a calling party reported a stabbing near Central Ave SE and Louisiana Blvd SE. The caller advised a man was stabbed in the side of the abdomen. Officers from the Albuquerque Police Department and crews from Albuquerque Fire Rescue were dispatched.
When officers arrived, they found the victim on the southwest corner of Central Ave and Louisiana Blvd near the KFC. He was transported to a local hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
While on scene, we observed the male who had been stabbed using his cellphone. We also witnessed police searching for the suspect. According to witnesses, the suspect was the victim’s girlfriend.
Police officials have not publicly confirmed the relationship or released a description of the suspect.
