Prior to this fatal stabbing call, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department were responding to two separate violent crime incidents. Just before 9:40 PM, officers were made aware of an individual at a local area hospital with a gunshot wound to the upper extremity. APD officers attempted to ask the male where he was shot at in the metro and he claimed “in the War Zone,” but reportedly he would not specify the exact physical address where he was shot. APD is still searching for the suspects from the shooting.

Around the same time, a man was stabbed allegedly by his girlfriend in the 12700 block of Central Ave SE. It is believed the man was transported to a local area hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening.
