Albuquerque –
In a YouTube video and an official e-mail from a CABQ.gov address, Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller announced his bid for a third term as Mayor of the City of Albuquerque.
On his campaign website he touts:
“Tim’s drive for public service is rooted in his willingness to challenge the status quo and his track record of making real impact. Born and raised in Albuquerque, his leadership is centered around the “One Albuquerque” unity vision, a clarion call honoring the city’s diverse heritage and championing residents from all walks of life.“
The announcement goes on to say:
“At City Hall, we are relentless problem solvers, tackling Albuquerque’s toughest challenges head-on every day. We hear your concerns about long-standing local issues, compounded by the turmoil from Washington, D.C. That’s why now, more than ever, Albuquerque needs an experienced fighter who will protect its future—and that’s why I’m running for reelection. “In these challenging times, the next four years must be about standing up for our city, uniting our community against division, and taking bold action to help those in need—getting people off the streets, out of addiction, and into stable housing. We must make every corner of our city safer from gun violence through technology and intervention. By building on the real progress we’ve made, I am committed to driving meaningful change and ensuring a brighter future for Albuquerque for generations to come.”
The YouTube video features Mayor Keller walking down clean streets with a fancy satchel interacting with normal everyday people who also walk to work downtown. The video focuses on economic growth and technology given to law enforcement. The video does not focus on any crime stats amassed during his tenure.
It was a stark contrast of Mayoral Candidate Darren White’s video of White walking through dirty city streets with homeless encampments and shuttered businesses.
So far, former Bernalillo County Sheriff Darren White, retired firefighter and fire chief Eddie Varela, small business owner and retired truck driver Patrick Sais, and former Sandoval County Deputy Manager and military veteran Mayling Armijo have officially announced and filed to run for mayor. Radio station owner Eddy Aragon has announced his intent to run, but as of this publication, he is not formally listed on the CABQ website as a registered candidate.

Editor Note: ABQRAW did not receive any emails or announcements from Eddie Varela, Patrick Sais, or Mayling Armijo’s campaign offices when they announced their candidacy for mayor. If we had received an announcements regarding the other candidates, we would have published their announcements.
The citizens of Albuquerque are so stupid that they will vote for him again.
I agree wholeheartedly; NM needs to wake up to the corruption! He’s surly could be classified as a flaming Idiot! Has done nothing in past years. Face it is a disaster just like the Governor. They can’t even stop the chemtrails that are poisoning us. It’s not sky graffiti. ♀️
Really went full retard at the end there with the chemtrails lol.
fuck off troll
We also still have Dominion.
So safe and secure… no shenanigans there. Just trust them when they say who wins.
LOL yeah!
Timmy says: “…in these challenging times, the next four years must be about standing up for our city,” Because obviously the last eight years you haven’t done crap sir, crime and homelessness is worse now than ever before. Thanks for nothing.
Worst possible outcome for Albuquerque if he’s elected.
You just can’t polish a turd.
Terrible 7 years, we don’t need anymore of Keller in office!!!!!
Keller should be fired along with his Chief of Police Harold Medina. They have allowed Albuquerque to slide into the bottom 5% of Cities in the USA
100%
Enough!! Northern Mexicans have demonstrated they don’t have the mental capacity or ability to make even a mediocre decision. You would think they would care about their kids; but as it turns out, all they care about is voting dem, to make sure their kids don’t get locked up.
Good observation Tax Payer, I agree.
Hasn’t Keller done enough damage to Albuquerque? ? Don’t go away mad, just go away!!!!!!!
If Albuquerque flips the office of mayor to red (and the office of governor) we can be assured that crimes committed with firearms will skyrocket, SNAP will be shuttered, causing impoverished families and individuals to face food insecurity. Medicaid will also be in jeopardy, causing people to delay seeking medical treatment. People will eventually be unable to afford their lives due to rising costs of living, causing homelessness to also skyrocket. In short, we can’t afford to be conservative; not fiscally or socially.
What a load of crap. This state has been run into the ground by these liberals and you prefer the status quo? Wake up, it’ s a new world MAGA
If you want MAGA, go live in one of those eastern NM shit holes. We’ve got a lot of problems that need fixing here and Keller probably isn’t going to get it done, but we don’t need to go full retard in response.
You’re delusional like all liberals. New Mexico has been predominantly a Democrat run state for 70+ years and look what we have to show for it. Last in Education and First in Violent Crime. Don’t believe me? Take s drive down Central Blvd sometime and see first hand what a Democrat Utopia looks like.

Fun facts.
– 5000 city employees = 1 city worker to every 100 residents. We rank 42 out of 50 states for highest number of employees. That’s an F.
– 1000 police – but 400 of them are admin because of feds, and all the police corruption. 600 police = 1 officer for every 882 people. That’s also an F and one of the lowest in the world.
– you should see the 10 year growth records of Salt lake, Phoenix, El Paso versus ABQ. Dead last in growth. That’s and F.
The Saddest part is – all you retards in ABQ keep voting for the same judges, same DA, same Mayor. You’re too stupid to vote for what’s in your best interest. And the retard posting above me who says gun violence will go up and Medicaid will be cut if a Republican wins – you, you and the rest of the people are the problem. You can’t be , but clearly are really the dumbest people in America. I’ve lived in (5) states, you guys are imbeciles. I won’t be staying that long –
ABQ is never going to be able to grow the way other cities can. We’re hard limited on 3 sides with most major employers on the east. The only way to expand is west and the further you go, the less practical it gets to live out there. Albuquerque is a fucking mess, but having half a clue as to why it is and what our limitations are is a good first step to fixing it.
Yeah, and then there’s the reality that ABQ has very little appeal – full of trash, “raising” more trash.
If you are not a registered voter, please consider becoming one. If you are a registered voter, please vote. 33% of registered voters in New Mexico DID NOT vote in the last presidential election. Voting is the only way to secure your rights under a free and democratic nation.
