Albuquerque –
Minutes after 7:50 PM on January 2, 2025, a serious injury crash was reported at Holly Ave NE and San Pedro Dr NE. According to reports, a motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle. According to a witness, the rider was down and, reportedly, was not wearing a helmet.
A deputy from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office happened to be in the area when the crash occurred, but additional officers from the Albuquerque Police Department and emergency personnel from Albuquerque Fire Rescue also responded. Police Service Aides from the Albuquerque Police Department have also been requested to block off areas of traffic in the area.
The exact condition of the motorcyclist is not known at the time of this posting. However, if further information becomes available, we will promptly update you.
Reportedly, north and southbound San Pedro between Holly and Paseo Del Norte are going to be closed. Police are moving northbound traffic on San Pedro into turn-bay for the parking lots for the McDonald’s, Mister Car Wash and Chick-Fil-A. People attempting to leave the businesses on Holly, they should consider exiting going east on Holly to Louisiana.
If we hear when traffic opens back up, we will post an update below.
Update:
As of 8:41 PM, north and southbound San Pedro are still closed between Holly and Paseo.

That entire San Pedro corridor from Paseo North to Alameda is a marvel of planning and engineering. Holly is a glorified alley. The entrance to McDonald’s morphed into a major artery to access numerous businesses. And San Pedro is one step above a dirt road surrounded by a ghetto trailer park. Our traffic engineer and planning department are idiots. Thanks Timmy!
He is my loved one. He is in critical condition. Major injury’s.
