Authorities are investigating a death by suicide that occurred overnight during a SWAT operation in the North Valley.
According to APD’s civilian PIO Gilbert Gallegos, officers were attempting to arrest an individual on a felony warrant at a residence located at 3008 Sioux St. N.W., this is in the area of 12th St. and Indian School Rd. The individual, an adult male, was found deceased.

The Multi-Agency Task Force is leading the investigation, as the death happened while police were attempting to take the man into custody.
