Albuquerque –

Around 4:25 PM, a rollover crash was reported on Interstate 40 (I-40) westbound (WB) at mile marker 165, near Eubank. The Albuquerque Police Department (APD), Albuquerque Fire and Rescue (AFR), and Albuquerque Ambulance Service (AAS) were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, AFR noted that three vehicles were involved. The vehicle that had rolled over was located in the median; however, by the time AFR arrived, it was upright and resting on all four tires. AFR identified six potential patients from the crash, one of whom had potentially serious injuries. AFR and AAS transported the injured to local area hospitals.

According to NMDOT/NMROADS, the left and right lane of I-40WB is closed. Closures are subject to change. You can follow NMRoads.com for road closure updates. Drivers should expect some delays, traffic on I-40WB is backed up to Juan Tabo.

If more is learned about this crash, we will update you.

UPDATE:

As of 5:05 PM, many of the emergency vehicles have cleared the scene, but a DOT Help Truck and APD Police Service Aid (PSA) appear to still be blocking the left lane (see photo stamped 5:07 PM).

Police are still waiting for tow trucks or wreckers to clear the three vehicles involved. One car is in the median on the other side of the Jersey barrier, while the other two are reportedly on the right shoulder.
