Just after 9:51 PM, a crash at Central Avenue NE and Broadway Boulevard NE was reported to police. This crash purportedly involved a motorcycle and a vehicle.

When Albuquerque Fire Rescue arrived on the scene, emergency personnel transported one person to the hospital. Their condition is unknown.

Just before 10:15 PM, a caller phoned 911 about an accident at Central Avenue NW and Atrisco Drive SW.

When the incident occurred, AFR has Engine 1 (E1), Engine 7 (E7), Medic 9 (MD9), Rescue 1 (R1), and Rescue 7 (R7) were on the scene. Presently, we do not know if anyone was transported to the hospital.

Engine 1, Medic 9, and Rescue 1 responded to both crashes on Central. Since 4:00 PM, we can see that AFR has responded to 12 vehicular accidents involving injuries in the Albuquerque metro area. The count did not include accidents that were resolved privately between the parties involved without official intervention.

If we learn more about either incident, we will update you.

UPDATE:

At 11:05 PM, another accident was reported, this time at Paradise Blvd NW and Unser Blvd NW. We heard police telling dispatch that eastbound Paradise and southbound Unser would be closed due to the crash and subsequent investigation.

The crash happened right on AFR Station 22’s doorstep, leading to a rapid response from Engine 22 and Rescue 22.
