One of the main focuses of this protest is President Donald Trump and his policies. It is unclear if these 18 groups will be protesting politicians who have been in office more than one term as a “No King or Queen” protest, or if they are only focusing on President Trump.

In a social media post, Mayor Tim Keller shared photos of inside the New Mexico Democratic Party office with a caption saying he helped craft signs and organized with volunteers for Albuquerque’s protest. It should be noted, King Keller is on his third term of being Mayor of Albuquerque.

The march will begin and end at Montgomery Park (5510 Ponderosa Ave NE). To ensure a safe pedestrian environment, traffic will be shut down in both directions along the entire route for the duration of the event. Drivers must seek alternate routes.

The primary 3-mile route is as follows:

  • Start: Montgomery Park onto Comanche Rd.
  • Travel West on Comanche Rd to San Mateo Blvd.
  • Travel North on San Mateo Blvd to Montgomery Blvd.
  • Travel East on Montgomery Blvd to Louisiana Blvd.
  • Travel South on Louisiana Blvd to Comanche Rd.
  • End: Travel West on Comanche Rd back to Montgomery Park.

Police and rescue will be on standby for any needs that may arise.
