Albuquerque –
At approximately 8:15 PM, on Saturday, February 22, the Albuquerque Police Department received notification of an individual sustaining a gunshot wound at a local hospital. Shortly after, an officer already at Kaseman Hospital for an unrelated matter reported that he was hearing about the gunshot victim being treated at that hospital.
Police asked the victim where the shooting occurred but they have been unable to determine the location. Authorities only know that the individual was riding in a vehicle when someone allegedly shot them.
APD’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit (GVRU) is investigating this incident. Typically, when GVRU is involved, the shooting victim does not have critical injuries.
