Person Found Dead in Grocery Store Parking Lot, Homicide Detectives Called Out

Albuquerque –

On Friday evening around 5:40 PM, officers with the Albuquerque Police Department’s Foothills Area Command were asked to respond to a call for service for a person not breathing in the parking lot of Smith’s, located at 200 Tramway Blvd SE.

Upon arrival, officers located a man who had no obvious signs of life. Albuquerque Fire Rescue’s Engine 12 and Rescue 12 were dispatched, but the male was pronounced deceased.

Due to the suspicious nature of the incident, a homicide call out was initiated, and the incident is being investigated as a suspicious death.

This death is still under investigation, but the death appears to be the result of a medical episode.
