Person Found Shot to Death in NW ABQ

Albuquerque –

Around 8:15 PM, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department were called out to a shooting in the area of Mountain Road and Don Gabal Loop NW. Police were advised of a person with a possible head injury that was not breathing. Albuquerque Fire Rescue was also dispatched.

Upon arrival, officers discovered one person who had what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head and was reportedly beyond medical help.

APD’s sworn PIO Detective Chase Jewell states that APD’s homicide detectives have been called out to investigate this apparent shooting. He also stated one person was detained for questioning.
