Person Shot Near Tingley Beach

Albuquerque –

Just before 6pm, the Albuquerque Police Department was called to a location near Tingley Beach in regards to a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a person with a gunshot wound. AFR responded to the scene and transported the person to a local hospital.

A witness told us they heard one shot and a bunch of sirens. They were fishing near the ditch bank and then saw the police response.

The Gun Violence Reduction Unit will respond to the scene to investigate further.
