The second stop was at the Ted M. Gallegos Community Center in Southwest Albuquerque. There were a handful of protesters in the median where the motorcader was to turn into the community center. A man held a Punisher and a Pine Tree flag while open carrying a pistol on his right hip. The Pine Tree Flag is a flag that was used in the Revolutionary War by President George Washington. The Punisher flag represents “Marvels” comics anti hero character.

Officials tried to convince to man to stand further back but he refused several times. Eventually U.S. Secret Service and Albuquerque Police Department officials stopped trying to get him to back up and instead they kept the man within arms length as they talked to him when the motorcade drove by. The motorcade passed by without incident and President Biden could be seen looking at the handful of protesters out of his window.

President Biden made it back to the Sunport and was headed to a campaign stop in California next.
