Albuquerque –
On May 2nd at approximately 11:50 PM, Albuquerque Fire Rescue’s Engine 15 observed an exterior fire impinging on a restaurant at 6205 Montgomery Blvd NE. This is located near Montgomery and San Pedro. The exact restaurant was not confirmed by AFR, but initial reports indicated that it may have been HoHo’s Chinese**.

E15 initiated suppression efforts immediately, conducting a primary search of the structure while requesting a first alarm response from dispatch. Crews brought the blaze under control and completed a primary search of the building within five minutes.
No occupants were located inside. The fire caused damage to the building’s exterior walls and eaves only. E15 is commended for their swift recognition and decisive action, which prevented further structural damage.
No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
