Around 9:57 PM, police were advised of a stabbing near 500 Louisiana Blvd NE. According to the caller, a security guard was assaulted by someone who had allegedly been asked to leave the premises. The suspect fled the scene following the stabbing.

When officers arrived, they located a security guard with apparent stab wounds. The injured security guard was transported by Albuquerque Ambulance to UNMH with non-life-threatening injuries.

APD was searching for the offender.

This weekend saw multiple violent incidents across the metro area. Around 9:55 PM on Friday, APD responded to a stabbing near 135 Alcazar St NE. The Alcazar scene is about half a mile south of 500 Louisiana Blvd. On Saturday around 5:20 PM, two people were purportedly shot in the 1700 block of Lovelace Rd SE. On Sunday at approximately 5 PM, another individual was shot near Avalon Park. At last report, one person had been arrested, and another was taken into custody for questioning.
