Albuquerque –
On March 5th, 2026, around 1:15 PM, ABQ RAW staff were in our headquarters near the 200 block of San Mateo NE when a man, later identified as 38-year-old Jordan Jones of Albuquerque, approached vehicles in a nearby business parking lot and eventually moseyed into our parking lot and started walking around our vehicles.
Jones took a keen interest in our very popular F-150 truck and began lurking around it with extreme focus. Eventually after encountering Jones in our lot for several minutes waiting for police to respond a 911 dispatcher told us that officers would not respond because we had Jones at gunpoint. We retreated inside as 911 instructed us to and of course Mr. Jones gained access to our vehicle and attempted to steal it.
Fortunately APD finally arrived before Jones could escape in the truck. What followed next was APD SWAT and other officers shooting non lethal projectiles at our trucks windows smashing out most of them and using flash bangs which caused deep unrepairable gouges to our trucks doors. The truck to this day sits in a storage facility out of commission for the next few months while ABQ’s Risk Management decides if they wanna fix it.
Jones was released from custody immediately after his arrest(surprise) involving the ABQ RAW truck incident and he was sent back to the streets to cause more havoc. 15 days later, on March 19th, 2026, Jones was at the 2200 Central Avenue SE, McDonald’s causing a ruckus inside the restaurant. He was told by management he was already criminally trespassed and he was no longer allowed in the establishment.
Jones became upset and started punching the front register computer and it fell onto an employee. The employees advised the computer was somehow not damaged.
APD criminally summonsed Jones for the criminal trespass incident and he was NOT taken into custody. Because of the March 5th, 2026 case, he was ordered not to commit any federal, state, or criminal offenses.
He blatantly ignored his court ordered conditions of release and committed a crime anyway. It would appear he should now be in warrant status.
UPDATE:
We have NOT repaired our truck and camera equipment from the damage caused by the barricading SWAT incident. Our attorneys have reached out to City of Albuquerque’s Risk Management and there seems to be no hurry from the City. We will do our best with news coverage now that we are down to one news vehicle.
