Shoot Out at Juan Tabo and Lomas Leaves One Wounded

Albuquerque –

Just after 9:15 PM, the Albuquerque Police Department were notified of a shooting that occurred in the vicinity of Juan Tabo and Lomas. They were informed that an injured individual was being transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

According to reports, a road rage incident between two vehicles escalated to gunfire. The person, who sustained a gunshot wound, was either driven to the hospital by someone they knew or self-transported.

APD is presently blocking off Juan Tabo at Lomas extending to Mountain. From two video clips we received, a viewer near the CU Anytime ATM and the U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer recorded a police presence along Juan Tabo.

At the time of this posting, we do not know the victim’s condition. We do not know if APD has taken anyone into custody.

If we learn more, we will update you.

UPDATE:

Based on Apple Maps, it appears as though Juan Tabo is closed between Mountain and Summer, this was updated as of 9:19 PM.

UPDATE 2:

At 11:30 PM, APD opened up traffic on Juan Tabo.
