Albuquerque –
On March 27th, 2025, we got information there was a shooting near the Sandia Innovation Parkway Office Center.
This incident ironically and suspiciously happened just a few hours after, Albuquerque Police Department and Sandia Laboratories held a press conference to tout a volunteer partnership to create an innovative model to determine where to use surveillance cameras within the metro to combat crime.
According to a Sandia National Laboratories spokeswoman, at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, an unknown individual used a firearm from a location east of the Sandia Innovation Parkway Office Center and shot several rounds in the direction of the Tijeras Arroyo.
According to it’s website, IPOC is a 150,000-sq-ft building that is leased to Sandia. The facility, owned by DePonte Investments, features a mixture of offices, cubicles, conference rooms, and support space. Sandia Labs building occupants include the Badge Office, Procurement, Human Resources, Financial, Ethics, Audit, and Community Involvement organizations
The spokeswoman from Sandia Labs went on to say, as a precautionary measure, Sandia issued an immediate Lock-Down for the Sandia-occupied buildings in the Sandia Science and Technology Park, which was lifted at 6:20 p.m. No Sandia personnel or buildings were physically affected. The Albuquerque Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
Sounds like some dumbass just playing with their new gun. A really stupid area to do so.
We know it wasn’t you, felons can’t own one and you’re scared of the recoil anyways.
Probably fake news. Maybe control the department of the fucking scum like officer skeens or should I say skeet
Sandia wants everyone to come back to the office but they can’t even keep anyone safe on base. This is the first of three incidents that have happened since March 28. There were two this week.
