Albuquerque –
Just before 7:23 PM, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department were dispatched to a reported shooting in the area of the Chateau Apartments located at 6101 Osuna Rd NE.
According to the caller, a person was shot multiple times and was laying in the arroyo. The reporting party claimed they observed several juvenile suspects fleeing the area after the shooting.
Upon their arrival, Albuquerque Fire Rescue personnel provided medical aid to the victim. EMS found the victim had sustained at least two gunshot wounds. Emergency responders transported the individual to a local hospital for further treatment. The victim is purportedly in critical condition at UNMH.
Police are attempting to locate the suspects involved. APD’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit (GVRU) is investigating this shooting.
