The first-arriving AFR unit, Rescue 17, reported a working fire with offensive conditions and smoke showing from the roof. Engine 17 stretched a line for suppression while Rescue 17 initiated a search. Crews initiated an interior attack and brought the fire under control within 26 minutes.

The structure sustained heavy fire damage and was deemed a total loss. One occupant was displaced. AFR offered Red Cross assistance, which the occupant declined, opting to stay with family.

No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.

AFR Fire Investigators remained on scene to determine the fire’s cause and origin.
