Albuquerque –

Around 5:15 PM, the Albuquerque Police Department responded to a shooting near 10401 Coors Bypass NW. According to reports, one person sustained a gunshot wound.

A witness contacted us to state that they saw the shooting happen at the NW Bus Transit Center.

When officers arrived, they located one person who was shot. Albuquerque Fire Rescue rendered medical aid and Rescue 21 transported them to the University of New Mexico Hospital with serious injuries.

APD was searching for the offender.

APD’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit is being called out to investigate.
