Shooting on Central SE Leaves One Critical

This afternoon, Albuquerque Police Department officers responded to a reported shooting at 6900 Central Ave. SE. When APD officers arrived, they found one person with a gunshot wound. Emergency personnel transported the individual to the hospital, where the person is reportedly in critical condition. We have learned that the victim may have been tracking his own stolen vehicle to this location when the unknown suspect shot him.

APD’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit (GVRU) are presently investigating this shooting. Further details will be provided as they become available.
