Around 8:45 PM, a stabbing was reported at 10250 Cottonwood Park NW, near Cottonwood Dr. and Old Airport Rd NW. The Albuquerque Police Department and Albuquerque Fire Rescue were dispatched to the scene. According to fire communications, the victim allegedly sustained at least one central stab wound, meaning they were stabbed in the chest or abdomen. The offender fled the scene.

When AFR arrived, they found a woman in serious condition. Rescue 21 provided medical aid and transported the victim to a nearby hospital. At last update, which was just after 10:15 PM, she was reported to be in serious condition, but is expected to survive her injuries.

Police were looking for a suspect in the area.
