Albuquerque –
According to a criminal complaint filed, on November 10th, 2024, a New Mexico State Police officer was on patrol in the Albuquerque area when he observed a gray 2024 Chevy pickup at the intersection of Martin Luther King Blvd and Locust. The truck apparently drove forward through the green light very slowly for no reason which caught the staters attention. At this time the stater noticed a male driving the truck. The officer followed the truck onto I-25, where it was then unable to stay within its lane of traffic.
The officer activated his lights and sirens to initiate a traffic stop, and the truck came to a stop near the Sunport exit. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer surprisingly found a woman in the driver’s seat. Somehow, somewhere along the route the male driver he had previously observed driving was no longer behind the wheel and had swapped seats with a female.
The complaint states that 32-year-old Sydney Ennis of Edgewood had taken over as the driver of the truck. The officer detected a strong odor of alcohol from Ennis. The former driver, now a passenger, was identified as 33-year-old Tanner Parker of Los Lunas, who also smelled strongly of alcohol. Ennis admitted to consuming alcohol before driving. Both individuals performed poorly on field sobriety tests and were arrested.
The complaint does not specify whether Parker admitted to drinking alcohol. He did however experience a severe case of incarceritis in the form of chest pains during the arrest and was transported to Lovelace Hospital to be assessed further.
Parker has at least three prior DWI arrests in the state of New Mexico.
Both Ennis and Parker were booked and later released from the Metropolitan Detention Center making this an excellent two for one arrest scenario for the state trooper.
You always brighten my day. Incarceritis! What a great word! Wonder if she was having trouble breathing?

Nice reading comprehension skills.
NM catch and release…. until one of them drunk drives again and murders someone. Then the media acts all shocked, like- “Residents are shocked when one of their own, 4th DUI, crashed….. stay tuned for 3 hours later, before we give you the for details.”
