Albuquerque –
A tense SWAT situation happened at the Days Inn located at 1520 Candelaria Rd NE. The standoff involved a man who had felony warrants for his arrest.
The call brought out federal and local law enforcement to the scene to try and arrest the man. Bernalillo County Sheriff’s office, New Mexico State Police, and the U.S. Marshal service were all at the location.
The man could be seen destroying the motel room he was staying in and witnesses sent us video of SWAT officers throwing smoke canisters into the motel room windows which he had broke out.
While on scene we met two German couples who mistakenly thought this hotel was a prime tourist spot. They were surprised to see the full SWAT call out situation and were excitedly taking advantage of the intense situation sending videos back to their homeland for their friends and family to revel in.
The wanted man eventually surrendered to police. While we were on scene we saw him detained on the east side of the building. He was allowed to exchange final words to a lover who was also with him at the hotel. It is assumed his “friend” whispered sweet nothings into his ear promising to call him and put money on his books at the jail.
The wanted man was taken to the hospital for precautions due to the incident. His “friend” however was immediately seen on the side of the hotel with a new man and they could be seen smoking some sort of substance together.
We will update you when we find out more about this unusual love story and arrest.
A prime tourist spot? That place is a dump!
One man done and another to go.
One man gone and another to go.
Gotta appreciate a good love story!
That’s True Love!
