NE Albuquerque – Early this morning AFR responded to a single story residential fire on the 100 block of Glorieta NE. Upon their arrival they located an active fire. Further inspection of the home located two occupants with life threatening injuries.

Both subjects were transported to UNMH for further assessment. It is unclear how the fire started. We reached out to AFR spokesperson Tom Ruiz but he refused to respond for further information.

One of the two burn victims has died. Ashleigh Keeto, 29, died from her wounds, Feb. 7, at a burn center in Lubbock, Texas. Keeto was taken to the burn center after she and another victim were rescued from the fire. We learned that APD is now investigating the death as a homicide. This is considered the ABQ metro’s 14th homicide of 2022.
