Albuquerque –
The Albuquerque Police Department announced on X, formerly known as Twitter, that all lanes of southbound I-25 are closed following a rollover crash involving a truck that lost a load of concrete. Crews will need time to clean up the debris from the freeway. This crash reportedly happened around 1:42 PM.
From what we can gather on NM Roads, the crash occurred just past the Lead/Coal exit or before the Avenida Cesar Chavez exit. The backup on I-25SB extends to I-25 at MLK.
APD is asking drivers to exit I-25 SB at Coal. You can check on traffic updates on the NMRoads website by going here.
UPDATE:
As of 3:20PM, the interstate is still being affected by this crash and cleanup.
UPDATE 2:
APD sent the media a notice that as of 3:30PM, I-25 has been reopened.
