UPDATE: House Party Mass Shooting Now Homicide, Edgar Cut Male Suspect

Albuquerque –

On March 22, 2026, at approximately 2:44 AM, deputies from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, they encountered numerous individuals at the scene and discovered five victims with gunshot wounds, including one juvenile and four adults.

According to BCSO spokeswoman Jayme Fuller-Gonzales, BCSO can confirm that one of the victims in Sunday morning’s shooting later died from their injuries at a local hospital.

The suspect is not in custody at this time. BCSO confirmed a suspect with an Edgar haircut was seen fleeing the party.

Detectives remain in contact with the victim’s family. The victim’s identity is not being released at this time. More information will be released as it becomes appropriate and available.
