Albuquerque –
The Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) is investigating an inadvertent inmate release from the facility. The 44-year-old inmate, Desiree Sanchez, was released on Wednesday, July 24. She was being held on a preventative detention hold related to armed robbery and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon charges.
This is the third type incident within the last few months. It appears they do not triple check paper work before releasing an inmate out to the public.
Sanchez was originally booked into the facility on July 17. MDC staff are working with local law enforcement officials in an effort to bring Sanchez back into custody. This arrest was from a June 7th, 2024, incident were she was smoking fentanyl, robbed a man of $2,800 of cash and property, and proceeded to stab him.
This inadvertent release will be investigated by the Metropolitan Detention Center’s Office of Professional Standards.
Doesn’t matter. The criminal loving judicial system would have let her out soon enough anyway.
Bet she was hottie when she was 16
