Albuquerque –
On Tuesday, January 7, 2025 around 12:20 PM, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department were dispatched to the area of Central and Atrisco for a shooting. A woman was shot at least once, and she was taken to a local area hospital by Albuquerque Ambulance.
While on scene, we observed APD officers canvasing near the Long John Silver’s, Ross Dress for Less, and neighboring businesses.
APD’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit is handling the investigation of this shooting. At the time the woman was transported, her injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
We will provide updates if more information becomes available about any arrests or the woman’s condition.
