Woman Stabbed Near Zuni Apartments

Albuquerque –

Around 2:28 PM, a stabbing was reported near the Zuni Apartment Homes, located at 8010 Zuni Rd SE. The caller told police that an individual was stabbing a woman in the head. Shortly afterward, the caller advised that someone began shooting at the person in an attempt to stop the attack.

When officers from the Albuquerque Police Department and Albuquerque Fire Rescue arrived, they found the woman who had been stabbed near Tennessee St. and Decatur Ave. Albuquerque Ambulance transported the woman to a local area hospital.

Officers made brief public announcements to a nearby apartment in an effort to negotiate with the stabbing suspect and request their surrender. The suspect was reportedly taken into custody.

On September 14th, a stabbing occurred at the same apartment complex. In that incident, a woman was reportedly stabbed in the neck. The victim survived the incident.
