Woman Wielding Knife Shot by Police

Albuquerque –

There was an Albuquerque Police Department officer-involved shooting (OIS) near the Days Inn at Hotel Circle, which is near Eubank and Lomas. Details are limited, but officers responded shortly after 9:00 AM to reports of a woman armed with at least one knife.

All APD officers are reportedly unharmed. The woman who was shot has died.

Mayor Tim Keller was scheduled to hold a press conference at the very same scene of the shooting, regarding affordable housing at the Los Altos Lofts. That press conference has now been canceled.
