Triple Homicide within International War Zone District Discovered Early This Morning

Albuquerque – Early this morning APD notified media that a triple homicide has occurred and detectives are on scene investigating.

Sworn Officer PIO Chase Jewell said in a statement: The Albuquerque Police Department Homicide Unit is taking over a deadly shooting in Southeast Albuquerque that has left three people deceased. Officers originally responded to the area of Rhode Island ST SE and Bell AV SE for reports of a shooting.

Officers responded and located three individuals with gunshot wounds, one individual was transported for life-threatening injuries to a local hospital but later succumbed to their injuries. Two other individuals succumbed to their injuries on scene, prior to officers arriving.

This scene is still active and detectives are on scene conducting their investigation.
