Albuquerque –
There is a multi vehicle crash on interstate 40 eastbound on approach to the interstate 25 exits. Reportedly, at least three cars are involved and one has rolled over. The New Mexico State Police, Albuquerque Police, Albuquerque Fire Rescue, and Albuquerque Ambulance are on scene.
It has been advised that this is a large crash blocking many lanes or traffic.
Injuries are reported, but they are purportedly non-life threatening.
The NM DOT signs (picture below) are currently advising drivers that “CRASH I-40 EB @ BIG-I. ALL LANES CLSD.” Closures are subject to change, you can go to NMROADS.com for updated information and to check traffic cams.
Drivers should expect heavy delays and attempt to exit I-40 EB whenever possible.

UPDATE:
We have learned that five cars are involved in the accident. At least one of the cars rolled over. If instructed, please follow police guidance to safely navigate around the crash, proceed cautiously, and avoid actions that could cause another accident.
As of now, four lanes are closed on interstate 40 eastbound.
The NMSP is reportedly handling this crash investigation.
UPDATE 2:
At 2:46 PM, I-40 EB reopened.
