We will give updates on crashes we hear around the Albuquerque area. We’ll include the time and location of each incident and continue updating the list as new crash reports come in from across the Albuquerque metro area.
As a rule of thumb, most crashes are cleaned up within a hour or less. If it is a critical or fatal incident it will take up to 4 hours for the crash to be investigated. Albuquerque –

There is a crash at Wyoming Blvd & Copper Ave NE involving AFR’s Engine 5. This may have been a hit-and-run, the car that hit the AFR Engine fled.
There is a second accident at I-25 northbound at Montaño/Montgomery. The two right lanes are reportedly closed.

A motor vehicle accident occurred at Carlisle Blvd NE and Montgomery Blvd NE, involving a work van versus a motorcycle. AFR reportedly rolled up on this crash and additional resources from Engine 19 and Rescue 19 are being sent.

There is an accident with injuries at West Frontage Rd and 2nd St NW.

A police service aide from the Albuquerque Police Department was sent to I-40 westbound and Eubank to check for a motorist that might be in need of assistance.

APD and AFR were dispatched to an accident with injuries at Lomas and San Mateo.

AFR is being sent to a crash with injuries at I-40 westbound at University.

There is an accident at San Mateo and Lomas. A driver reportedly had a medical emergency and crashed.

A caller reported a two vehicle accident at I-40 westbound at Wyoming. Officers and AFR were dispatched to the scene.

There is a crash at Juan Tabo and Buena Ventura, and a separate accident at General Patch and Susan Ave SE.

Officers from APD and AFR responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-40EB at 98th. There are three people injured, and one person died on scene. The NMSP is handling the accident investigation.
