Around 7:22 PM, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department were involved in an officer-involved shooting in the 6200 block of Gonzales Rd SW.

Officers were reportedly on a call involving a man armed with a firearm. The individual was reportedly entering and exiting a residence while armed. The man allegedly displayed a firearm before shots were fired.

Officers are providing medical aid to the man who was shot, and Albuquerque Fire Rescue is responding to the scene.

No officers were injured.

The situation remains very active, and the public should avoid the area as the incident is ongoing.

The Multi-Agency Task Force will be called out to investigate.

We have a reporter at the incident location working to gather more information. At 9:08 PM, APD said it expects to provide an update within the next hour. We will continue to share updates as additional details become available.
