Albuquerque Police Department homicide detectives have launched an investigation into a death reported today in the 1200 block of Headingly Ave NW.

Officers from APD’s Valley Area Command responded this morning to a report of a deceased person inside a residence at 1225 Headingly Ave. NW.

Based on evidence observed at the scene, homicide detectives have begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.

Additional information will be released as it is made available. 

This is the second call out in the Albuquerque metro area today. Earlier today, officers were called to investigate a death near Florida St. and Bell Ave.

Homicide detectives were also called to 1201 Madeira Dr SE on Wednesday, June 3, after an individual was reportedly stabbed to death.
