Albuquerque –
Jevon Martinez has recently gained international attention for his recent arrests in New Mexico because he single handedly taking down Flock cameras from in and around Bernalillo county. He is also taking down other branded automatic license plate readers (ALPR) from within in the cities of Rio Rancho and Albuquerque.

Recently, on September 2nd, 2026, he went live on his Facebook page and went around Bernalillo County taking down what he perceived as Flock cameras. He said he was delivering them to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office to return them since the contracts were canceled by Sheriff John Allen. He was then promptly arrested by BCSO and charged with tampering with county property and interference with communications and larceny over $2500 but less than $20,000.

He has a current GoFundMe page that has raised over $20,000 for him to support his family “during this time.” his GoFundMe page states:
Thank You for Standing with Us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me support my family during this time. My intention has always been simple: to protect and to serve.

His sentence was probation/parole and he did NOT have to register as a sex offender. He is currently off parole/probation for this case in North Carolina.
We reached out to the arresting agency the Fayetteville Police Department and they said to records request the police report. They estimated a 30-plus day turnaround on the records. We reached out to the court that prosecuted the case and have not heard back from them.

Currently, Martinez is now facing two court cases in Sandoval County and Bernalillo County over tampering with government cameras that are used by police departments.
