Multi-Vehicle Crash Near Unser and I-40 Closes Interstate

Albuquerque –

A multi-vehicle crash involving multiple victims was reported on Interstate 40 between Coors and Unser Blvd. Officers with the Albuquerque Police Department responded shortly after 9:30 PM and found at least two vehicles with multiple patients at the scene. One of the vehicles was located in the center median.

As of this publication, officers have closed I-40 eastbound at Unser.

The conditions of those injured are not yet known. However, the extent of the closure suggests that either the Albuquerque Police Department’s Motor Unit or New Mexico State Police will be investigating a fatal crash.

Drivers should expect delays on I-40 eastbound. Presently, it is unknown if I-40 westbound is closed.
