Person Executed at Storage Facility Near Route 66

Albuquerque –

APD’s Homicide Unit is currently investigating a shooting that occurred at 7610 Central Ave. SE which is the A1 Self Storage. Officers were called to the location following reports of a shooting, when they arrived, they located one individual deceased, suffering at least one gunshot wound inside a RV on the lot.

Witnesses told us they heard shots in the area and said they heard it from the storage facility business. We observed Albuquerque Fire Rescue and APD on scene. AFR deemed the victim beyond help.

APD did not release any suspect information or if anyone is in custody.

Areas and the storage facility will be shut down while APD conducts it’s investigation.
