15-Year-Old Teen Causes Crime Mayhem on Westside Near Cibola High School

Albuquerque –

For most of Friday, a 15-year-old has been causing mayhem on Albuquerque’s westside.

Late in the morning, the Albuquerque Police Department began a search for the teen after he stole a car and fled from officers.

The chase prompted Cibola High School to be placed on lockdown for the majority of the morning. Police called off the search after the teen initially evaded capture.

Around 2:15 PM, police spotted the teen near a skate park close to Cibola High School. Shortly before 2:45 PM, the teen fled across traffic and through the Walmart parking lot. The foot chase ended when the teen was apprehended.

Because he is a minor, a criminal complaint or booking photo will not be released. Sources tell us the teen was reportedly enrolled at Cibola High School.
